HIGH NOTE

global partner

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN Human Rights) is the principal United Nations entity mandated to promote and protect all human rights for everyone, everywhere. With a field presence in more than 80 countries and a global mandate spanning all 193 UN Member States, UN Human Rights advances dignity, equality, and justice at every level of society.

As the founding global partner of the High Note Global Initiative, UN Human Rights brings institutional authority and worldwide reach to a platform built on a shared conviction: that music, photography, and cinema are among the most powerful forces for advancing human rights — crossing borders, shifting understanding, and mobilizing action where policy alone cannot.

The partnership began in 2018 with two founding pillars — High Note Music and Photography 4 Humanity. In 2027, it expands with the launch of High Note Human Rights Cinema in Boulder, Colorado — making High Note Global the first UN-aligned recognition system spanning music, photography, and cinema in service of human rights.
